Why the Global Alliance? |
| Ryan Kilmer, PhD, Clinical-Community Psychology One of the qualities of the Global Alliance that sets it apart from other organizations is its focus on doing something....I joined because I resonate with the values -- the emphasis on social justice, the appreciation of diversity, and the fact that they understand that the complex issues in our society require interdisciplinary solutions. |
Kendell Coker, Clinical Psychology and Law Growing up in the inner city, I developed a passion for social justice and social change...I wanted to see communities thrive, flourish.... I have realized that one way to move in that direction is to join organizations and to form alliances with those who have similar interests, similar passions. The Global Alliance has a commitment to social change, particularly for the least fortunate members of society. This is one of the reasons I joined the organization. |
| Mary Armstrong, PhD, Social Work I've been a member of the Global Alliance for about 10 years... I value the fact that it [Global Alliance] includes people from different disciplines, all of whom are concerned about the quality of health services and social justice. |

Jacqueline Larson, Graduate Student, Health Psychology It's been exciting to be a part of a passionate, committed group of individuals who have come together to promote mental health and well-being of vulnerable populations. I've enjoyed seeing how these passions play out in policy, research, and action. |
